The city of Kastav has announced a public call for teams to participate in the hackathon as part of the Kastav Smart Start project. The hackathon will take place 15. November 16, 2022 in Kastav as part of the KASPI startup incubator program.
The hackathon is conceived as a marathon competition lasting 24 hours, in which registered teams with the help of mentors develop and present innovative solutions in the form of a feasible concept, using real available data and documentation.
The theme of this edition of the hackathon is “Smart and green solutions for Kastav”, and the teams must contribute their concepts to at least one of the stated goals:
- digitization and gamification of cultural heritage
- better infrastructure for micromobility
- efficient agriculture in an urban environment
- greater interest of young people in local politics
- better communication between the public administration and entrepreneurs and investors
Groups with a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 5 members can apply, and priority is given to persons residing in the area of the City of Kastva or in the area of the cities and municipalities that make up the Urban Agglomeration of Rijeka.
For the first place in the competition and the best presented concept, there is a prize of HRK 3,000.00, for second place HRK 2,000.00, and for third place HRK 1,000.00.
