With the entry into force of the Law on the accessibility of websites and software solutions for mobile devices of public sector bodies of the Republic of Croatiathe city of Kastav, after conducting accessibility testing, will publish on this website a Statement on the accessibility of its website and applications related to services and projects, their compliance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102, and enable user feedback to be provided in order to further improve network accessibility.
The site www.kaspi.hr aims to ensure that its services are accessible to people with disabilities. Considerable resources have been invested to simplify the use of the site to make it more accessible for people with disabilities, in the firm belief that every person has the right to a dignified, equal, comfortable and independent life.
The city of Kastav recognises the importance of ensuring digital accessibility for all users, with a particular focus on facilitating access to public services and information for persons with disabilities, applying, as far as possible, Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council of 26th October 2016 on the accessibility of public sector bodies’ websites and mobile applications.
The city of Kastav continuously improves the user experience by applying relevant accessibility standards according to the guidelines and standardization of network content (WCAG 2.1) of the Network Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), an organization engaged in the standardization of network technologies.
On the www.kastav.hr page, a One Click Accessibility application add-on is available that allows the www.kastav.hr page to improve compliance with the Guidelines for Ensuring Accessibility of Online Content (WCAG 2.1).
The www.kaspi.hr page accessibility menu is activated by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears in the left upper corner of the page. After starting the accessibility menu, wait a second until the accessibility menu loads in full, and then select the option that suits you best.
As a public sector body, the city of Kastav seeks to make its kastav.hr websites accessible by the Law on the accessibility of websites and software solutions for mobile devices of public sector bodies of the Republic of Croatia (OG 17/19), of 23rd September 2019, which takes into national law Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.
The www.kastav.hr website complies with the Law on the accessibility of websites and software solutions for mobile devices of public sector bodies. The implementation of the new CMS platform and the reshaping of the websites in 2019 2019 met most of the requirements of the European standard EN 301 549 V1.1.2 (2015-04), but with some exceptions.

Some PDF files contained in the Council of Mayors’ disclosures or City Council meetings are not entirely created by exporting from the source file from Microsoft Office Word with the selection of accessibility options, but by scanning printed documents. Such are the minutes of the Administrative Councils of institutions or reports of institutions as well as public utility companies and commercial companies owned by the City that are not accessible because they are not adequately prepared for screen readers.

The city of Kastav will implement corrective measures to address the inaccessible content of its website to the maximum extent possible after training employees to create, manage and maintain the content of websites and software solutions for mobile devices by the Accessibility Act.
Contrast errors and font resizing errors were addressed by installing and adjusting the WP Accessibility Tools Application Add-in – an accessibility tool that is activated by switching the pointer, in the upper-left corner of the network location.
This Statement was prepared on 13th December 2019, by the Accessibility Declaration Template, which complies with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council on the accessibility of public sector bodies’ websites and mobile applications, and has been set up in Commission Implementing Decision EU 2018/1523 on 11th October 2018.
The self-assessment method implemented by the public sector body and the methods of testing the accessibility of the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool and WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool were used to prepare this Statement.
